Congratulations! You're making a quality decision
to help empower someone else in leadership and invest
your time and talent in them. At Seacoast, we are
about helping people become fully devoted followers
of Christ, and by encouraging someone to take the step
of leadership and committing to be their mentor, you
are playing a big part in making this happen.
Are you wondering what becoming a mentor is all about? Let us
help you answer some questions:
What does a Mentor do?
Your role as a Mentor
is to guide the person you are mentoring
through
one of the Online Leadership Courses. You will need to commit
to scheduling regular meetings with them, particularly
after each online session. Each online session will contain
a Mentor Guide, which will assist what to do during these meetings.
The purpose of this meeting will
be to review the content what they are learning and to answer
any questions they may have.
You will also have the freedom to implement some further development
ideas and
assist in giving them hands on application of the information
they are learning. Finally, commit to praying for them.
What are the requirements for becoming a Mentor?
You will need to complete
a Leadership Application which you will receive via
email after you submit your information
below. When you complete and return the application online, you'll
receive an email which will contain your login and password information,
and instructions to begin the mentor process. To be a Seacoast
Mentor, you need to be a current Life Group Leader or Coach,
or someone who has led a group in the past.
What if I've already filled out a Leadership Application?
Since the entire Next Steps site is a new tool for Seacoast,
we need to collect all the leadership information in an online
format. Therefore, we are asking that each leader who is either
taking the class or mentoring someone in the class to fill out
this information. In the future, you will not have to fill it
out for each course. However, at this time, please fill out the
information online. Thank you for your understanding!
